I remember seeing myself in a picture……my heart sank, and I instantly felt like I was going to burst into tears. I had not realized how big I had gotten. Up until then, I had successfully avoided being in pictures by offering to be the one to take the picture, politely declining being in the picture, hid behind someone or quietly snuck away from the group. Like many others, I have struggled with my weight since my pregnancy with my daughter. The pounds came on fast and easy but taking them off after my daughter was born felt impossible. It did not seem to matter that I was eating a “balanced diet” full whole grains, brown rice, fresh fruits, yogurt, vegetables, protein, etc., I was constantly hungry and never felt “satisfied”. I would beat myself up emotionally because I felt like there was something wrong with me as a person. My skinny friend would give me advice on how to lose weight as I was watching her eat a 7 -layer burrito with a side of nacho chips. I finally just gave up and settled into my size 22 pants. I finally stopped weighing myself after I hit 244 lbs. on the scale. I felt helpless and defeated.
Years later, I saw a friend of ours who is a doctor in Wyoming. I was stunned when I saw how amazing he looked. He shared that he lost weight using a doctor-supervised low fat, low carbohydrate diet that he offered at his clinic. My husband, Dr. Dave, and I decided to give it a try. I have truly never felt so good in my life!! I did not have the constant craving for sugar and carbs anymore!! I did not have the sweaty, shaky, starving feeling an hour after I ate! Experts are now raising a red flag that the COVID-19 vaccine will likely be less effective in obese people (5.) We are at a crucial time in our history. There are no proven treatments or cures for COVID-19. The best defense for fighting this virus is your own health, habits, and head space. We can no longer walk around the elephant in the room.

One study showed that people who were obese had a 55% greater chance of developing depression compared to people who were not obese (6.) People who are obese receive lower salaries in jobs, are ranked as less qualified and worked longer hours than people who are not obese (7). Weight discrimination is alive and well and will continue to get worse. Yes, this protocol is medically developed and is ONLY offered through healthcare professionals.
How does your program work?
Our program is a medically developed program that has 4 phases. Phase 1 and 2 focus on weight loss. Phase 3 and 4 concentrate on gradually reintroducing you to healthy eating choices while also finding your carbohydrate tolerance level. Due to genetics and activity level, some people are more carbohydrate sensitive than others. The program is a partial meal replacement program that helps target fat loss while maintaining muscle mass. We will also be helping you fine tune your micronutrition with high quality supplements to help you feel your best!
Is your program expensive?
Our program is incredibly affordable. You will be purchasing some foods through the clinic that will take the place of your regular meals which will replace some of your grocery budget. Often, people find they SAVE money as they are not eating out as much, not drinking alcohol and not grabbing impulse items at the store. In addition, many people find they can work with their prescribing physicians to work their way off certain medications which often saves our clients thousands of dollars. The cost of the program includes your weekly coaching sessions, food, and vitamins.
Do I meet with a coach?
Yes, you will meet with a coach weekly. They will be your #1 cheerleader, source of support and education through this journey. They will continue to support you during maintenance. Your coach has also successfully completed the program. Your coach will weigh you, measure you, track body fat%, review your food journal, discuss challenges, how to handle social events and coach you through the different phases of the program.
