Supporting our community is something near and dear to our hearts. We are passionate about giving back to our community and supporting local charities. We encourage our patients to join our efforts to improve the quality of life for those in need of a helping hand.
JANUARY – FEBRUARY
National Soup Month: Please bring in canned foods and nonperishable items to be donated to the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, which serves to alleviate hunger through the gathering and distribution of food while encouraging self-sufficiency, collaboration, advocacy and education.
MARCH – APRIL
Dr. Seuss’s Birthday: Please bring children’s books which will be donated to a local non-profit organization.
MAY – JULY
Veterans IV Motorcycle Association: We will be gathering items for the Veterans IV Veterans Motorcycle Association. Their mission is to support and defend those who have defended our country and freedoms. They work to prevent veteran suicide, assist with finding resources to provide care and fight veteran homelessness as well as help with education. We will be accepting Gatorade, Mio type water enhancers, jerky, peanut butter crackers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, other personal hygiene products and gently used clothing and shoes.
AUGUST – OCTOBER
H.E.L.P stands for Homeless Engagement Lift Partnership. HELP works to restore dignity and hope to those in our homeless community. Their mission is to change the cycle of homelessness through our children and provide immediate aid and comfort and advance education and knowledge for those who have found themselves in some form of homelessness. HELP works to promote awareness and create action in our Community.
We are gathering small toiletry items including shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste as well as healthy individual snacks such as peanuts, trail mix, Belvita, granola bars, crackers with peanut butter, etc. Snack items must be individually wrapped and free of any liquid. We will be collecting donations for the months of September and October.
NOVEMBER – DECEMBER
OCJ Kids: OCJ Kids’ mission is to equip at-risk and foster youth with tools, resources and healthy relationships to succeed and excel in every area of life. They connect at-risk and foster youth with caring communities for support and assistance, create a foundation of family for children and youth who have none and cultivate at-risk and foster youth with purpose, direction, hope and a brighter future. They assist youth to transition into independent living. We will be accepting Newborn-14/16 PJ’s, all sizes of girls and boy’s underwear, Diapers, wipes, hygiene items and suitcases.
