FAQs
What is included in the new patient special?
Our new patient special includes a detailed history, chiropractic examination, computerized postural assessment, any necessary x-rays, doctors report of findings and recommended action plan. That way, at minimal cost to you we can determine if yours is a chiropractic case or not.
What ages do you treat?
We see all ages, from newborns to seniors.
Do you take insurance?
We work with most major insurance companies. It’s just a matter of how much they will contribute to your care. We offer a complimentary benefits check before you begin your treatment so you will know what they cover. If you have a high deductible, poor insurance coverage, or no insurance at all, we offer different plans to make your care affordable.
Do you see people injured in car accidents?
Yes. Even if you were in a minor accident, it is very important to have your spine checked. Often times, people will ignore the soreness and stiffness after an accident thinking they are fine. Then they start to experience more severe symptoms weeks or even months later. The sooner this is addressed, the better the outcome.
Do you treat pregnant women?
Yes. Dr. Iszler is trained in the Webster Technique, which is specifically designed to improve pelvic balance and reduce nerve interference from the low back to the uterus. It also provides the optimal environment for the baby to get into the proper position.
Can chiropractic care help my child?
We have seen many infants and children with a variety of conditions including ear infections, colic, latching issues, reflux, irritability, constipation and sleeping problems just to name a few. Studies have shown that children who are under regular chiropractic care suffer if you are ear infections than their counterparts who are not under chiropractic care.
What conditions do you treat?
We have had great success helping people with conditions including, but not limited to neck pain, headaches, migraines, visual disturbances, sleep issues, back pain, hip pain, sciatica, numbness and tingling, digestion issues and many more. Everything in your body is controlled by your nervous system, so a properly functioning spine is vital to optimal health.
Can I get adjusted at my first appointment?
That totally depends on your individual situation, based on what the doctor finds.
Do I need x-rays?
This depends on what the doctor finds during your examination. If needed, motion study x-rays will be taken to assess not only your alignment, but also the way your spine is functioning. To see is to know. To not see is to guess. We will not guess when it comes to your health.
How do I know if chiropractic can help me?
Until we do a thorough history and examination, we really don’t know if yours is a chiropractic case or not. If it is, we will tell you how we can help. If it is not, we will guide you in the right direction.
I’ve seen a chiropractor before. Why do I need an exam?
Though you may have been to a chiropractor in the past, you are new to us. We are ethically obligated to properly examine and diagnose our patients prior to any treatment. Your health is very important to us and we will not jeopardize it by taking shortcuts.
Can I just come in and get adjusted whenever I want to?
We are not a “stop-and-pop” joint. Do you go to the gym once and expect the results you want? How about braces? Do you wear them for a week and all of a sudden have straight teeth? Why expect something different from your spine? We focus on corrective chiropractic care to address the underlying cause of your problems rather than merely providing short-term pain relief. Unless the supporting structures of your spine are addressed as well, your problem is likely to keep coming back. Only 10% of your nerves can sense pain. The other 90% control function. If you are feeling pain, it is likely that you’ve had a problem for some time that is already affecting function in your body.
The difference between Corrective Chiropractic care and temporary pain relief care is the difference between optimal health and just feeling good. We are focused on long term solutions rather than short term pain relief.
